About the Position

Job Title: Cardiac Sonographer Profession: Allied Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10hr Day Shift Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute care Echo experience License: BLS Certifications: ARDMS-RDS or RDCSS Must-Have: Must be comfortable doing pediatric scans. Fetal scan experience and stress test experience preferred. Description: Cardiac Sonographer position available. The facility has 2 Echo Suites and 2 TEE rooms. The department serves an average of 40-60 patients per day. Candidates will support a large structural program that includes various procedures and patient types. Common diagnoses include CHF, pre/post Cath, pre/post CABG, pre/post Watchman, pre/post TAVR, PFOs, bubble studies, aortic stenosis, mitral regurgitation, stroke patients, ER patients, TEEs, and stress tests. Candidates will assist with pericardiocentesis and other related procedures. They will perform preliminary findings and document them in a modifiable report for physician review. Support within the department will include other Echo Techs and a Manager/Supervisor during the day. On-call duties are required, typically one night shift per week, and major holidays may involve on-call responsibilities. The schedule is modified self-schedule, with the manager having final approval.
