OR Tech – Neuro OR

Contract | Onsite | Includes weekday and weekend call shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist in neuro-focused surgical cases including craniotomies, spinal procedures (simple single-level through complex 10+ level), spine tumors, neuro trauma, and deep brain stimulation (DBS) procedures
• Float to other service lines within the main OR as needed
• Operate within a high-volume environment supporting approximately 45–60 cases per day across 29 operating rooms
• Adhere to a call schedule including weekday call shifts (2330–0700) and weekend call shifts (0700–1930 or 1900–0730) with a 45-minute response time requirement
• Document and navigate patient care using Epic EMR

Required Qualifications

• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
• Active Virginia registration required at time of submittal
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level 1 Trauma OR setting
• Strong experience in neuro and orthopedic spine procedures, including craniotomies and complex spinal surgeries

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with deep brain stimulation (DBS) procedures
• Familiarity with Epic EMR in a surgical setting
• Demonstrated ability to float across multiple OR service lines
