About the Position

Job Title

Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Inpatient Rehabilitation – Travel Contract

Tacoma, Washington

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Days | Monday–Friday with one weekend day per month and one compensatory day off | 36 guaranteed hours per week | 8-week assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language pathology services within a 60-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital setting
• Evaluate and treat adult and older adult patients recovering from severe injury or illness, including CVA and neurological conditions
• Manage a caseload of approximately 6.5 treatments within an 8-hour day
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary therapy team to develop and implement individualized patient treatment plans
• Flex schedule to include one weekend day per month as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state of Washington
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) experience required
• Experience treating adult and older adult patient populations

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with CVA and neurological patient diagnoses and treatment
• Familiarity with acute inpatient rehabilitation workflows and productivity standards
