About the Position

Job Title: Echocardiographer Profession: Sonographer Specialty: Echo Technologist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: 2 years License: RDCS (PE), ARDMS, CCI (one of the following required) Certifications: American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Must-Have: - One of the following: RDCS (PE), ARDMS, CCI Description: The Sonographer will perform various modalities of cardiac ultrasound. The modalities include transthoracic echo, stress echo, and assistance in transesophageal echo. The role also involves performing noninvasive testing, including electrocardiograms. The application of Holter monitors is part of the responsibilities. The Sonographer will be accountable for preparing preliminary interpretation reports for the echocardiograms. Billing procedures and study transmittal will also be part of the duties. Coverage for satellite sites is required. The Sonographer will cover holidays, weekends, and on-call as necessary.
