About the Position

Job Title: CVOR Certified Surgical First Assistant Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: CVOR Certified Surgical First Assistant Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 (06:45 - 15:15 or 05:30 - 14:00 for heart cases) Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Active required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Endovascular leg vein experience Previous charge experience Description: The CVOR Certified Surgical First Assistant will assist in various cardiovascular procedures. This role requires endovascular leg vein experience. The shift may start earlier for heart cases. Every third weekend of work is required. Call duty is also required. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience. No first-time travelers will be accepted. The role involves various surgical skills, including abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, angioplasty, and more. Experience with the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System is preferred. The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in aseptic techniques and manipulation of surgical materials. Candidates should be familiar with supplying assistance during cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures. Knowledge of interventive radiology and emergency surgical protocols is essential. All candidates must meet the minimum experience requirement and have the necessary certifications.
