About the Position

Job Title: Certified Surgical Tech/Operating Room Tech Profession: CST/ORT Specialty: OR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 years in a hospital setting License: Active certifications required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Robotic and spine experience 2 years of experience in a hospital setting Active certifications at the time of submission Description: MUST HAVE ROBOTIC AND SPINE EXPERIENCE. 32 hours guaranteed per week. Recent OR experience is required. Unit consists of 4 OR rooms with a staff of 5 RNs and 6 Surgical Techs (4 are First Assists). Staffing includes day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and night shifts on-call from 3:30 PM to 7:00 AM, Monday through Friday. Common procedures include robotic and orthopedic procedures, ENT, GYN, general surgery, bariatric surgery, and podiatry. Familiarity with EMR Meditech is preferred. CNOR certification is strongly preferred with at least 3 years on a unit of distinction certified by Joint Commission in both knees and hips. Best personality fit includes being flexible and having a good attitude. Floating to endoscopy is required when needed. Dress code includes gray scrubs supplied by the facility, which must be changed daily. Scrubs will be laundered by the facility. Weekend and on-call requirements are every 5-6 weekends and one on-call night per week.
