About the Position
Job Title: Occupational Therapist Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: Inpatient Rehabilitation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM or 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM) Experience: 3 years of experience required License: Must have current state Occupational Therapy license in hand Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Must have 3 years of experience in acute inpatient rehabilitation. Must have completed 1 prior travel assignment. Experience treating stroke, spinal cord injury, amputee, and general rehabilitation populations. Experience working in a fast-paced inpatient rehabilitation setting. Description: This position requires working in a fast-paced inpatient rehabilitation unit. The team is focused on providing the highest quality of patient care. Patients in this unit typically require at least 3 hours of therapy, 5 out of 7 days a week. The interdisciplinary support team includes physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy. Candidates should be comfortable working in a large team environment. Weekend availability is required for one weekend day per month. Candidates should have experience with adaptive equipment assessments and cognitive assessments. Familiarity with the charting system is preferred. Candidates need to demonstrate strong patient education and discharge planning skills. The unit is accredited and dedicated to providing comprehensive rehabilitation services.
