About the Position

Job Title: Medical Lab Technician Profession: Laboratory Specialty: Medical Lab Technician Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years of recent experience required License: Active Compact or State License required Certifications: AHA BLS and ASCP required Must-Have: - 2+ years of recent MLT experience - Active License in hand at time of submission - Willingness to accept an 84-hour work schedule every two weeks Description: Schedule will be 7 AM to 7 PM, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Resource must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be considered. Locals will not be accepted. Assignment confirmation needs to be signed within 24 hours of an offer. Disclosure: Ratios can fluctuate with census and call-ins. Orientation occurs bi-weekly. Must have experience in hospital clinical laboratory settings. Knowledge of arterial blood gas, cardiac enzymes, hormone testing, and therapeutic drug monitoring is essential. Skills required include pipetting, specimen collection, specimen transport, and reporting test results. Quality assurance and controls experience is necessary. References required: one charge or higher and one supervisor, both completed within the last year. Background checks will be conducted, and any issues must be submitted upfront. Travelers may submit to only one position at a time and must be prepared to work every holiday.
