About the Position

Job Title: Medical Lab Technician Profession: Laboratory Specialty: Medical Lab Technician Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2+ years of recent Medical Lab Technician experience required. License: Active Compact or State License required at time of submission. Certifications: BLS, ASCP Must-Have: - Knowledge of hospital clinical laboratory operations. - Experience with arterial blood gas and cardiac enzymes. - Proficiency in hormone/thyroid testing and therapeutic drug monitoring. - Skills in specimen collection, receipt, and transport. - Ability to report test results accurately. - Familiarity with quality assurance and controls. Description: 2+ years of recent Medical Lab Technician experience required. AHA BLS and ASCP certifications are required. Resource must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be considered; locals will not be accepted. Assignment confirmation needs to be signed within 24 hours of an offer. All submissions must include a copy of the traveler’s unexpired driver's license. Experience in patient ratio and charting system preferred. Travelers must be willing to accept an 84-hour work schedule per two weeks. RTO must be presented upfront, and no changes will be accepted. Travelers may only submit to one position at a time. Two references are required; one must be a charge or higher, and one must be a supervisor reference. Both references must be completed within the last year. Copy of certifications must be included with submissions. Background policy requires submission of any licensing hits or background check issues upfront. Extensions require working for one year before taking a minimum six-month break before returning.
