About the Position

Job Title: Sterile Tech Profession: Sterile Tech Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years License: Not required Certifications: BLS, CRCST Must-Have: Certification Description: Hiring Process includes a profile review and an interview with the unit manager. Candidates must live within a 60-mile radius. Valid driver's license must be submitted. Please ensure clinicians are in the state for the week of orientation, even if first-day modules are remote. Required skills include decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and scope reprocessing. Common cases include basic ortho, general surgery, gynecology, and gastrointestinal procedures. The department will cover several operating rooms. Certification is a must-have skill. Client scrubs are provided for staff. There is no self-scheduling available for shifts. The position requires weekend call obligations. Response time for call is 30 minutes. There is a holiday call requirement. Floating to other units is not required. A unit/department-specific orientation is provided. The cancellation policy allows the facility to cancel up to four shifts during the 13-week assignment. Charting is managed through a designated system.
