About the Position
Job Title: Speech Pathologist Profession: Speech Pathologist Specialty: Speech Pathologist Duration: 8 Months Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum Years of Experience: Two years preferred. License: Speech Pathologist licensure in the state of practice is required. Certifications: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is required. Must-Have: Candidates must have experience in EPIC and Cerner systems. Description: Provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. Adheres to state and federal regulatory license, certification, and accrediting requirement guidelines. Serves as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team. Reviews patient information before evaluations and during the course of treatment. Conducts and documents comprehensive patient assessments. Assists in data collection of patient outcomes. Instructs and directs support staff, as outlined in national and state Practice Acts. Supervises assistants and support staff. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Commits to the safety and wellbeing of associates and patients. Requires all associates to receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable. Medical and religious exemptions may apply. Participates in E-Verify. Must acknowledge understanding of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices. Staffs all areas seven days a week. Provides a cafeteria on-site. Department training will be provided during the first week after hospital orientation. Compensation for weekend coverage may include alternative weekday comp days.
