Schedule: Day Shift | Sunday–Thursday | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Hours: 40 Hours/Week
Pay Rate: Up to $42.00/hour (Bill Rate)

Position Overview:
Beth Israel Lahey Health Behavioral Services is seeking a Recovery Specialist – Case Management professional to provide case management support for individuals undergoing detoxification from substance use. The ideal candidate will have experience in chemical dependency treatment, recovery services, and coordinating continuing care resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage an assigned caseload of clients receiving substance use treatment services.
• Conduct intake assessments, treatment planning, aftercare planning, and safety planning.
• Coordinate referrals and collaborate with families, providers, community resources, and support services.
• Provide medication management support and assist with medication retrieval when needed.
• Support crisis intervention, de-escalation, and milieu management activities.
• Coordinate transportation and discharge planning needs.
• Complete required documentation accurately and within regulatory timelines.
• Participate in group programming, wellness activities, and staff meetings.
• Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate a compassionate, recovery-oriented approach.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred; Associate degree in Human Services preferred. Equivalent experience considered.
• 2–3 years of experience in substance use treatment, chemical dependency services, or related behavioral health setting preferred.
• Knowledge of community resources and continuing care/aftercare placement options.
• Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC) certification preferred.
• Ability to complete CPI and CPR certification training onsite.
• Strong communication, documentation, and crisis management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse substance use treatment population.
