Position: Lexington-Sterile Processing Tech-Certified $$SN$$
Location: Lexington, Kentucky
Shift: Evenings – 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (Monday-Friday)
Duration: 13 weeks (08/10/2026 – 11/07/2026)

Job Duties
• Decontaminate, process, prepare, and sterilize reusable patient care supplies and surgical instrumentation.
• Process a minimum of 20 instrument trays and 10 peel packs per shift while meeting departmental productivity standards.
• Assemble and prepare instrumentation and reusable medical supplies for patient care.
• Maintain sterilization processes while ensuring compliance with infection control and patient safety standards.
• Assist with departmental inventory management and report equipment malfunctions or supply discrepancies.
• Participate in department improvement projects and required safety training programs.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow regulatory standards and guidelines.
• Provide professional customer service, effective communication, and teamwork in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification required:

• Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) Certification, OR

• Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) Certification.
  • No prior experience required; sterile processing or healthcare experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization skills, and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams while maintaining professionalism.
  • Knowledge of patient safety, infection control practices, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
