Position: Sterile Processing Technician CWR $$SN$$
Location: Holmdel, New Jersey
Shift: Evenings – 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Duration: 13 weeks

Job Duties
• Clean, process, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments, patient care equipment, and reusable medical/surgical supplies.
• Perform Central Sterile Processing duties while following departmental policies, infection control standards, and proper PPE procedures.
• Operate sterilization equipment including Steam, ETO, Sterrad, and Steris systems; perform and document biological and Bowie-Dick testing.
• Maintain accurate sterilization records, load documentation, chemical integrator readings, and computerized instrument count sheets.
• Prepare Operating Room case carts using physician preference cards and ensure required instruments, supplies, and equipment are available.
• Communicate missing items or supply shortages with OR nursing teams and coordinators; complete daily checklists.
• Lift up to 50 lbs., push/pull up to 60 lbs., and remain standing for the duration of the shift.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of sterile processing/instrument processing experience required.
• Completion of a Central Processing Course or equivalent experience required.
• Active CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) or CBSPD certification required.
• English proficiency required (Read, Write, Speak).
• Must be available for rotating schedules based on department needs.
• No weekends and no holidays required.
