About the Position

Job Title: Mammography Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Mammography Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 8 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum of 1 year preferred License: ARRT M, ARRT R, BLS Certifications: Required certifications listed Must-Have: Experience with Epic charting system Description: The position involves performing diagnostic and screening mammograms. Experience with 3-D Mammography and digital mammography is essential. Candidates should be skilled in fine needle aspiration and needle localization. Knowledge of radiation safety and universal precautions is mandatory. Management or leadership experience is preferred for this role. Inpatient and outpatient experience is desirable. Experience in stereotactic biopsy procedures is an asset. The candidate should adhere to isolation precautions and PPE guidelines. Experience with various trauma levels is preferred. The position does not require weekend, holiday, or on-call shifts. Candidates must maintain a professional demeanor while providing patient care. Familiarity with community hospital settings is advantageous. Compliance with safety and health regulations is expected. The role may involve interdisciplinary support as needed. Strong communication skills are necessary for patient interactions. Attention to detail in charting and documentation is crucial. The candidate should demonstrate a commitment to ongoing education and professional development. Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
