About the Position

Job Title: RRT-NICU Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT-NICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:00) Experience: Minimum 3 years in a relevant field License: Required state licensure Certifications: BLS, PALS, NRP, RRT Must-Have: Ability to float to PICU and Pediatrics if needed Description: RRT-NICU professionals must have a minimum of 3 years of experience. First-timers are accepted. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. Successful candidates must possess certifications in BLS, PALS, NRP, and RRT. Experience with the EPIC charting system is required. Candidates should have skills in various respiratory procedures such as aerosol setup and intubation. Experience with pediatric critical care and neonatal care is preferred. Daily patient ratios during shifts will be 8 patients per nurse. RRTs will float to PICU and Pediatrics as necessary. Candidates must be ready to assist with high-risk deliveries and manage respiratory distress cases. Compliance documents are due prior to the scheduled start date. Travelers should be prepared for competency tests on the first day. Attendance is closely monitored, and excessive missed shifts may lead to contract review. Recent experience with EPIC is preferred, but not required for submission. Candidates may be hired without a license or with a pending license. This position requires proficiency in managing various respiratory therapies and troubleshooting equipment. Successful candidates will be knowledgeable in emergency protocols and able to provide critical care to neonates, infants, and pediatric patients.
