About the Position

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist - RRT Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 18 months recent experience required License: IN license required Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, RRT Must-Have: Before submission, candidates must confirm they are comfortable with the every other weekend requirement. First-time travelers are accepted. Effective education must be accredited through CoARC and regionally accredited through CHEA. Floating between multiple locations is required. Description: Candidates must have experience in adult critical care. They should be skilled in aerosol setup, mask usage, and administering medications like Albuterol and Atrovent. Experience with BiPAP, CPAP, and high flow nasal cannula is essential. Ability to draw arterial blood gases and perform extubation is necessary. Candidates should also be familiar with troubleshooting high pressure alarms. Experience with tracheostomy care and weaning from mechanical ventilation is required. Knowledge in interpretation of arterial blood gases is critical. Preferred charting system experience includes Cerner. Candidates must be able to work two out of three major holidays. Local residents are generally not accepted for certain positions. Floating is 100% required for all travelers. Two supervisor references are required prior to employment. This position requires potential medical/religious exemptions for the flu vaccine. Candidates should be prepared to provide a written confirmation of their comfortable availability.
