Job Title

Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics

New Brunswick, NJ

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required (Friday/Saturday) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Perform blood gas analysis, ventilator management, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen initiation and ongoing management
• Respond to code situations and participate in in-house patient transport
• Administer respiratory medications and perform Chest PT
• Float between PICU, ED, and adult critical care units based on census and staffing needs
• Provide respiratory care services across both adult and pediatric patient populations
• Document patient care and clinical activities using the EPIC charting system

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1.5 years of Respiratory Therapist experience
• Active NJ state license or Compact license required at time of submission
• Current BLS certification required at time of submission
• NBRC credential required at time of submission
• Ability and willingness to float within skillset across assigned units
• Must be available to work 2 of 3 designated holidays

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PICU and/or NICU experience strongly preferred
• Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP) preferred; may be obtained onsite prior to start
• Experience with Servo I & U ventilators and V60 BiPAP equipment
• Prior experience with EPIC electronic health records
