Pharmacy Technician – Inpatient IV Compounding

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 8-Hour Shifts | 40 Hours per Week | 13-Week Assignment | Every Third Weekend and Holiday Rotation

Key Responsibilities

• Perform IV compounding in an inpatient pharmacy clean room environment
• Compound parenteral nutrition (TPN) preparations accurately and in compliance with facility protocols
• Prepare and handle chemotherapy and hazardous drug compounds following applicable safety standards
• Operate Pyxis automated dispensing systems and maintain clean room standards in a fast-paced oncology IV room setting
• Utilize compounding software and electronic health record systems to support pharmacy operations
• Float to other facility locations within the health system as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of IV room experience required
• Sterile compounding experience required
• Active PTCB or CPhT certification required
• Active Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician license required
• Experience with TPN compounding required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Chemotherapy and hazardous drug handling experience highly preferred
• Experience with Abacus/Baxa compounding software, Repeater pump, Simplifi, or SoleSource software preferred
• EPIC electronic health record experience highly preferred
• Media Fill Test certification preferred
