Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | Friday – Sunday, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | On-call required (2–3 call shifts per month); holiday coverage per unit needs

Key Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating scans, adhering strictly to department policy and procedure for patient safety
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging services
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to promote comfort and understanding
• Insert IVs when necessary and position patients appropriately, utilizing safe patient handling techniques
• Maintain accurate patient records by documenting all necessary components within EPIC, identifying images, and ensuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning environment

Required Qualifications

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology with active ARRT certification
• Active New York State licensure (must be obtained prior to start); injection therapy certification must be reflected on NYS license at time of submission
• Minimum of two (2) years of CT Technologist experience
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association only
• Telemetry experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Injection certification preferred; candidates must be willing to complete certification during the orientation process if not already obtained
• Knowledge of Philips and Siemens imaging equipment preferred
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with a patient and compassionate disposition
