About the Position

Job Title: Medical Technologist Profession: Medical Technologist Specialty: Lab Technologist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Midnight Shift Hours per Shift: 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM Experience: Minimum 2-3 years previous experience in this role or similar License: N/A Certifications: BLS and a recognized national certifying agency (ASCP or NCA) Must-Have: - Completion of accredited Bachelor's Degree program in medical technology, medical laboratory sciences, or clinical laboratory sciences - Minimum six months experience in a medical laboratory setting - Demonstrated technical proficiency and theoretical knowledge sufficient to perform laboratory functions Description: Under general supervision, performs routine and complex analytic procedures on blood and/or other body fluids or specimens. Involves manual techniques or the use of laboratory instruments and information systems. Experience with Beckman Coulter equipment is preferred, especially with AU system experience. Technical proficiency and theoretical knowledge are required to perform laboratory functions effectively. Preferred Skills & Experience: Certification at the technologist level from a nationally recognized agency is preferred. Completion of coursework outside of the U.S. must be verified by a credential evaluation service approved by NACES.
