Job Title: Clinical Laboratory Technologist Profession: Medical Laboratory Specialty: Microbiology Duration: Full-time Shift: M-F Hours per Shift: 8.5 Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent experience in specialty License: Not specified Certifications: ASCP, AMT, AAB Must-Have: Strong microbiology experience Experience with Cerner system Experience using Sysmex and CellaVision systems Experience in a large hospital laboratory (600+ beds) Description: We are seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technologist with strong microbiology experience. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the specialty. Experience with the Cerner system is required. Candidates should have experience with Sysmex and CellaVision systems. Ideal candidates will have worked in a large hospital laboratory with a busy environment. Understanding the workload and pace of a large laboratory is essential. Candidates must be familiar with managing complex samples including turbid specimens, platelet clumps, and abnormal cell findings. Performing differentials accurately is a critical part of daily operations. Candidates who are not already competent in these areas would require extensive training. Candidates are preferred who have previously handled similar responsibilities and can transition quickly.
