About the Position

Job Title: CVOR Surgical Tech Profession: Nursing Specialty: CVOR Surgical Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12hr Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of OR experience in specialty License: BLS certification Certifications: National certification preferred Must-Have: Completion of an accredited Surgical Tech education program prior to start Description: CVOR Surgical Tech position available. The facility has 13 ORs plus one procedure room. On average, the unit performs 45 cases per day. Patient types and common diagnoses include orthopedic, spine, general, breast, podiatry, urology, robotic, GYN, and CVOR cases. Required experience includes scrubbing for cases related to orthopedic, cardiovascular, vascular, thoracic, general, urology, robotic, GYN, colon, breast, spine, and plastic surgeries. Strong and recent experience with CABG, TAVR, vascular, and thoracic cases is required. Support within the department includes OR assistants for room turnovers, stocking, patient positioning, and operating surgical tables. Technology used includes EMR systems, IV pumps, medication dispensing systems, and monitors. No floating to other units is specified.
