About the Position
Job Title: Occupational Therapist Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: Home Health Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours (07:00 - 17:30) Experience: Minimum 1 year required; first-timers accepted License: GA or Compact license required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Home Health experience required Experience with Homecare Homebase (HCHB) preferred Ability to provide services to geriatric patients Adaptability to float within the facility/scope of practice as needed Description: The Occupational Therapist will provide home health therapy services to geriatric patients. A minimum of one year of experience is required, although first-time travelers are accepted. The patient population primarily consists of elderly individuals with various health conditions. The therapist will be expected to manage an average of six visits per day, with a daily census of 115. Full-time productivity expectations include managing around 25 units per week. The therapist must have experience with HCHB until October 1, 2026, after which experience with Epic will be necessary. If the therapist lacks HCHB experience, completion of an online course is required prior to starting employment. Mileage will be reimbursed at the standard IRS rate, with an average of 50-100 miles traveled per day. Travelers are expected to work if one or two major holidays fall during their assignment. If three major holidays occur within the assignment period, the therapist is expected to work at least two of those holidays. Full compliance is required to ensure timely start in the position.
