About the Position

Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: CT Tech Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 8 hours (00:00 - 08:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years License: NYS License with IV Certification (mandatory) Certifications: ARRT R & ARRT CT Certifications Must-Have: - Experience operating Siemens equipment - Proficiency in performing both CT Scans and X-rays - Comfortable working night shifts Description: This position is for an overnight CT Technologist with X-Ray. The candidate must have the required credentials and experience to support a low-volume, steady-paced orthopedic imaging setting. The normal work schedule is from midnight to 8:30 AM for Monday to Friday. For the first 2 weeks of the assignment, training will be conducted on the day shift. Once training is completed, the traveler will work the regular night shift. The daily caseload is up to 20 patients, but may be less due to low volume on the shift. The traveler will be working independently due to the low volume. Patient age groups include pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The caseload will involve orthopedic exams performed in either an exam room setting or via portable equipment. The candidate may be rotated across multiple departments or private sectors. General skills required include experience with portables and various X-ray procedures. CT procedure experience should include abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal imaging. The candidate must be able to lift, push, pull, or move patients and equipment weighing over 150 pounds, with or without assistive devices. BLS certification is required. Experience with the Epic charting system is preferred, but not mandatory.
