About the Position
Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: Allied Health Specialty: CT Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Weekend Overnights Hours per Shift: 12.5 Experience: 2 years License: Client CT Tech License Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association ONLY) Must-Have: - Two (2) years Level 1 Trauma Center Experience - Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology - Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Description: The CT Technologist will confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan. Strict adherence to department policy and procedure for patient safety is required. Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging. Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable. Insert IVs when necessary for the test. Position patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility. Utilize safe patient handling practices. Maintain accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components within the electronic health record system. Ensure identifying images are sent to the imaging archive system correctly upon exam completion. Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of imaging equipment. A patient and compassionate disposition is essential. Effective written and verbal communication skills are required. Candidates should be a team player who can maintain a cohesive working environment.
