Physical Therapist – Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | One weekend per month | 13-Week Assignment with Possible Extension

Key Responsibilities

• Provide acute care physical therapy services to patients across a variety of diagnoses including post-operative, neurological, and musculoskeletal conditions
• Evaluate and treat patients with conditions such as total hip and knee replacements, post-op spinal and shoulder surgeries, spinal cord injuries, and traumatic brain injuries
• Deliver rehabilitation services for neurological conditions including Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy, Parkinson's Disease, and Post-Stroke Rehabilitation
• Float across units as needed to support patient care demands
• Document patient progress and treatment plans accurately using Cerner EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia State Physical Therapy license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of one year of physical therapy experience required
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR required
• Demonstrated competency in body mechanics, cervicalgia, low back pain, spinal conditions, and cognitive disorders

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous travel therapy experience preferred; first-time travelers will be considered
• Experience in acute care settings with diverse patient populations
