About the Position
Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: Outpatient Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM (Monday-Thursday), 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Friday) Experience: Minimum of 1 year of outpatient experience required License: State PT Licensure from the Board of PT Examiners or PT Compact Commission required Certifications: BLS, Dry Needling, Manual Therapy, Hand Therapy*, Wound Care* Must-Have: - Outpatient experience - Rehabilitation hospital experience preferred - Lifting and transfer skillset required - Daily workload of 10-12 patients Description: This position requires outpatient experience. The working schedule consists of four 9-hour days and one 4-hour day per week. Monday through Thursday hours are from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with a one-hour lunch break from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Friday hours are from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with no lunch provided. Candidates must possess state licensure and relevant certifications. Experience working in a rehabilitation hospital is preferred. Essential skills include lifting and transferring patients. Travelers with 1 year of experience and first-time travelers are welcomed to apply. Teal scrubs are required for this position. The facility focuses on assisting patients with general weakness, balance deficits, difficulty walking, speech and swallowing difficulties, and loss in memory function. The team is trained and skilled in supporting patients' recovery. There is a high success rate for patients regaining functionality and returning to their community settings. Additional skills beneficial for this role include experience with various rehabilitation techniques and devices. Candidates are expected to float to other units and/or campuses as needed. Documented competencies must be demonstrated prior to floating. All assignments may require compliance with training and documentation procedures. This position contributes significantly to the rehabilitation and recovery of patients.
