About the Position

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT-NICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Minimum of 1 year in PICU, NICU, ER, and Acute Care License: SC RRT license Certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS, ACLS Must-Have: - Minimum 1 year of experience with EPIC EMR - Ability to work in all areas of pediatrics, including PICU, NICU, ER, and Acute Care - Experience with medication systems such as Pyxis and Omnicell Description: The position involves working in various pediatric departments. Shift is from 07:00 to 19:30, with weekend coverage required every other weekend, subject to change based on need. Floating to different units is required as necessary. The candidate must have skills in aerosol setup for masks and tracheostomies. Experience with medications, including Albuterol, Atrovent, and Flovent, is essential. The individual will work with pediatric patients, including those in critical care settings. Familiarity with procedures such as capillary blood gases and high-flow nasal cannula is beneficial. Candidates should be prepared to handle emergencies and provide critical care to pediatric patients. The role requires teamwork and interdisciplinary support within the respiratory services department. Candidates must demonstrate competencies for the tasks they will perform.
