About the Position

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT-NICU Duration: 13 weeks, with the possibility of extension Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year required; 3+ years of recent experience strongly preferred for first-time travelers License: Active RRT License required Certifications: BLS, PALS required prior to start Must-Have: Pediatric experience strongly preferred Description: Locals are accepted. This position involves working in a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center. The facility functions as a teaching and Magnet Hospital. The position includes care for neonates, infants, pediatrics, and adolescents. Staffing includes floating within the scope of NICU/PICU/CICU as needed. The role may include responsibilities such as aerosol setup, BiPAP, and troubleshooting high-pressure alarms. Typical patient care tasks include interpretation of arterial blood gases and tracheostomy management. The facility features 323 inpatient beds, including 70 NICU beds. Child-friendly attire is required, with any solid color scrubs permitted.
