About the Position

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist - NICU Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT-NICU Duration: Up to 26 weeks upon request via interview. Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year required; 3+ years recent experience strongly preferred for first-time travelers. License: DC RRT License required - pending applications accepted. Certifications: RRT, BLS, PALS (all required prior to start). Must-Have: Pediatric experience strongly preferred. Description: Locals accepted at travel rate. Specialty in NICU/PICU preferred. Guaranteed hours are 36 hours/week; up to 48 hours available. Max of 3 shifts off for 13-week contracts. Max of 8 shifts off for 26-week contracts. If taking a full week off, an additional week must be added to the contract. No time off will be approved during specific timeframes. Parking options are available. Facility type includes a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center, teaching and Magnet Hospital. Charting system used is Cerner. Scrubs must be any solid color without logos; child-friendly attire is required. Patient age groups include neonates, infants, pediatrics, and adults. Daily census and number of beds not specified. Interdisciplinary support is available. Special procedures and unit details include a large specialty hospital with acute care floors specializing in various medical fields. Experience with specific ventilators is preferred. Requirements include experience in patient ratios and charting systems. Return travelers must have been separated from the organization for at least one year. Pre-start modules must be completed prior to the start of the assignment. Modules are non-billable. Compliance is required before starting. Restrictions include no license or background hits.
