About the Position

Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: PT Acute Care Hospital Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required in service line License: Active Physical Therapy License required Certifications: Relevant certifications required Must-Have: - Experience in acute care settings - Charting system experience Description: Acute Physical Therapy position with 5 x 8-hour shifts. Weekend rotation is required. This role involves working with a diverse patient population including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily patient census averages 30, with approximately 30 visits per day. The facility supports a wide range of diagnoses from orthopedic to neurological and pulmonary conditions. Physical therapy team collaborates with social services and rapid response teams. Candidates should possess skills in assessment, adaptive devices, bed alarms, body mechanics, breathing techniques, and more. Experience with total joint patients, pacemakers, and stents is preferred. Must be able to create individualized programs and conduct evaluations effectively. Effective communication and patient family education are key components of this role. Candidates must be prepared for mandatory drug screening upon arrival. Positive drug screen results will lead to immediate cancellation of the assignment. Local candidates are not accepted for this position.
