About the Position

Candidates must be physically mobile and able to lift 50 pounds. Candidates must have computer skills necessary for job requirements. Description: This position involves implementing patient rehabilitation programs to improve mobility, function, and strength. The physical therapist evaluates and treats patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs. Utilization of Electronic Medical Records is essential for completing evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries. Guiding and monitoring patient care during treatment and follow-up is a key responsibility. The physical therapist supervises assistants and aides in all aspects of patient care. Communication with physicians and other healthcare professionals is required to ensure quality patient care. Accurate patient chart documentation is necessary, including follow-up on prescriptions, test results, and authorizations. Maintaining patient comfort and addressing questions is important. Collaboration with front office staff regarding scheduling and patient follow-up is expected. Independent decision-making in patient care is a critical aspect of the role. Participation in business marketing and referral processes may be necessary. Compliance with HIPAA policies and procedures is required. Knowledge of billing policies for various insurance types is essential. The physical demands of the position include walking, sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and moving continually during working hours. Candidates must be alert for patient safety at all times. No travel is expected for this position.
