Job Title: Clienttion Therapist Profession: Clienttion Therapist Specialty: Clienttion Therapist Duration: 8 Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Preferred License: Required Certifications: Required Must-Have: - Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Clienttion Therapy - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - ARRT-Clienttion Therapy certification - Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certification Description: Administers ionizing irradiation to patients in accordance with prescriptions and instructions from department physicians. Delivers the prescribed course of radiation therapy by checking prescription, diagnosis chart, and patient identification. Explains procedures to patients, means of communication during treatment, and basic treatment procedure. Delivers prescribed daily dose to patients, observing radiation safety measures for patients and personnel. Prepares room and equipment for patients according to prescription or simulation regarding immobilization devices. Transfers patients to treatment couch, giving attention to the special needs of the patient. Observes patients for unusual reactions and signs and symptoms of developing complications during treatment. Reports reactions and complications to supervisor and department physician. Maintains a variety of records, including daily treatment records and patients’ charts to eliminate errors. Ensures blood counts and special reports are properly recorded. Provides clinical supervision and evaluates students' practical ability to perform procedures. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Commits to the safety and well-being of associates and patients. Requires that all associates receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment.
