Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide comprehensive respiratory care for adult critical care, trauma, medical-surgical, and neonatal patients. The therapist will assess, treat, and monitor patients with cardiopulmonary disorders while collaborating with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent hospital Respiratory Therapy experience.
• NICU experience is required.
• Active Virginia Respiratory Care License.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred; Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) accepted.
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
• Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification.
• Experience with:
  • Mechanical ventilator management
  • Emergency airway care
  • CPAP/BiPAP therapy
  • High-Flow Oxygen Therapy
  • Aerosolized medication administration
  • Arterial punctures and arterial line blood gas collection
  • 12-lead EKGs
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team environment.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient care skills.
• Flexibility to work in multiple patient care areas and night shifts
