Job Title

Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics

Columbus, GA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 3x12 Hours (18:30–07:00)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage non-invasive and conventional mechanical ventilation for a patient population spanning infants to geriatrics, with a primary focus on adult patients
• Perform arterial lines, arterial blood gases, and capillary blood gases, including draws from lines
• Administer aerosol therapy and manage oxygen therapy protocols
• Conduct bedside pulmonary function tests and spirometry as needed
• Provide patient education related to respiratory care and treatment plans
• Float within the facility and to a sister campus as operationally needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of respiratory therapy experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• Active Georgia Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Trauma experience required
• Ability to work with pediatric intubated patients in addition to adult population
• Familiarity with unit systems including Epic, Pyxis, SBAR, Viasys Vela, GE Carescape, and Viasys Avea

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with pulmonary function testing and spirometry
• Prior experience in a Level 2 trauma center or stroke-certified facility
• Background working in or alongside a Level 3 NICU environment
