About the Position

Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: PT Specialty: Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8.5 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required License: Active Physical Therapy license Certifications: Active BLS certification Must-Have: Willingness to work on the IRF unit Critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills Description: Therapy staff services the entire facility. The facility features a 28-bed IRF and an acute care hospital with an average census of 240. There are 17 PTs on staff, including full-time and PRN staff. Patient ratios are 4 patients per day on the IRF unit and 8-12 patients per day on the acute care unit. The facility is equipped with 2 therapy gyms, Vector, LiteGait, and an ADL Apartment. EMR used is Meditech. Typical procedures performed include evaluation, treatment, and discharge. Team conferences and family training are also part of the care process. Candidates with hospital or IRF experience, especially in stroke and neuro, are preferred. The best personality fit is flexible, a team player, and collaborative. Staff are scheduled to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees. There is a one weekend shift per month policy.
