About the Position

Job Title: Surgical Tech 2 Profession: Surgical Technologist Specialty: N/A Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 1st Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Two years of full-time equivalent experience as a Surgical Technologist License: High School/GED and one of the following: - Completion of a Surgical Technologist Program - Completion of a Military Training Program as an Operating Room Specialist - Completion of an Apprentice II Program - Ten or more years of experience as a Surgical Tech Certifications: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent Must-Have: Surgical technology skills Description: As a member of the healthcare team, you will collaborate with the surgical team to provide care for patients. You will ensure that the goals of the patients are met and the mission of the facility is carried out. Other duties may be assigned as needed. You will perform procedures in a variety of specialties requiring knowledge and skills. You will demonstrate a higher level of collaboration with peers in making decisions related to surgical patient care.
