About the Position
Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: Physical Therapist Specialty: Inpatient Physical Therapy Duration: 12 Weeks Shift: 8 Hours Days Hours per Shift: 0800 - 1630 + alternating weekends Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Valid state license required Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: - Strong clinical experience in adult acute settings, including trauma and critical care - Familiarity with electronic medical records Description: Unit notes indicate profiles will be submitted directly for consideration. A government-issued identification is needed to validate legal name. Candidates may not have been previously employed by any affiliated facility within the last year. Candidates employed through outside firms will be considered. Call-outs are discouraged and may result in termination. May be asked to precept as needed by the unit. Expectation is to complete one evaluation per hour. Physical therapists primarily perform evaluations at this site. If providing daily treatments, the expectation is to complete ten treatments in an eight-hour shift. New graduates will be considered if they have strong acute clinical experience. The primary focus is on acute care for adult and older teen populations. Common diagnoses include trauma, orthopedics, surgical, critical care, neuro, oncology, and general medical. This facility does not treat pediatric patients. The cancellation policy allows for the cancellation of shifts under specific conditions. Charting will be conducted using an electronic medical record system. Shifts are scheduled from 0800 to 1630, Monday to Friday, with alternating weekends. Some floor-specific orientation will be provided based on experience level with acute care.
