About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: OR Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days + Call Hours per Shift: 9 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS and ND UAP - CST or NCCT preferred Must-Have: Familiarity with total joints and C-sections. MAKO robot experience is a plus. Description: Department includes an operating room with a total of 6 surgical suites and 1 GI suite. Common procedures involve Orthopedics, OB/GYN, and General Surgery. Orthopedic cases may include total joints, ORIF, and arthroscopy. OB/GYN cases typically involve cesarean sections, LAVH, D&C, and diagnostic laparoscopy. General surgery procedures may include laparoscopic appendectomies and cholecystectomies. The environment requires adherence to specific fit testing regulations for staff with facial hair. There is no clinical involvement required for this position. Staff may need to be on call 1-2 shifts per week, depending on the needs of the facility. Weekend coverage is required for one weekend each month. Shifts are scheduled from Monday to Thursday, with potential adjustments to shift times provided with notice. The department typically avoids floating staff unless prior training is provided in other areas. Attention to dressing standards is essential; scrubs will be provided. Additional time off requests must be submitted initially. The facility reserves the right to cancel shifts as needed within the assigned contract period.
