About the Position

Job Title: Sonographer Profession: Sonographer Specialty: Ultrasound Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10H Days Hours per Shift: 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Not required for submission Certifications: ARDMS, BLS (AHA) Must-Have: US general, Client, Small parts, Dopplers-legs/arms Description: Hiring Process involves a profile review followed by an interview with the unit manager. The department consists of three ultrasound machines. Daily scans include US general, Client, small parts, and Dopplers of legs and arms. Average number of scans per day is approximately ten. Electronic Medical Record and Picture Archive & Communication System used is Epic/Synapse. Department equipment includes two GE machines and one Phillips machine. Services do not require the use of Registered Radiology Assistants. Radiologists are available in-house on Wednesdays. No IV starts are required in this department. Shifts available include 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with rotating call responsibilities. Weekend work is strictly on-call only. The dress code requires professional scrubs in specified colors. The hospital reserves the right to cancel up to four shifts during a 13-week assignment.
