About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Travel Physical Therapist (PT) for a Home Health assignment serving the East Region, including Baytown and the surrounding areas. This opportunity offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule with 8-hour day shifts (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM), allowing for an excellent work-life balance. Therapists are not expected to work weekends or holidays unless approved in advance.
This assignment is available for 8–13 weeks with a 40-hour work guarantee. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of recent licensed Physical Therapist experience in a Home Health setting. Private duty experience does not qualify, and new graduates will not be considered. While prior travel experience is not required, candidates must have previous Home Health experience, making this an excellent opportunity for therapists looking to begin their travel career.
The Physical Therapist will provide skilled evaluations and treatment services in patients' homes while collaborating with physicians, caregivers, and the interdisciplinary care team to develop individualized treatment plans. Therapists are responsible for documenting patient care accurately in WellSky and must notify the office regarding all missed visits, changes in evaluation frequency, or instances where patients cannot be contacted.
Productivity is measured using a point-based system, with therapists expected to achieve approximately 32–34 points per week on a 1:1 visit-to-point ratio. Drive time is built into scheduling and counts toward the weekly productivity expectation. If travel time results in hours exceeding 40 in a workweek, applicable overtime is paid. Both paid drive time and GSA maximum mileage reimbursement are provided. There are no Start of Care (SOC) visits required for this assignment.
Candidates must hold current BLS and First Aid certifications. Professional appearance is required, including clean scrubs, closed-toe shoes, and adherence to the facility's dress code. Facial jewelry is limited to small nose studs and earrings.
Please note: Candidates are strongly encouraged to secure housing prior to submission to help ensure a smooth onboarding process.
If you are an experienced Home Health Physical Therapist looking for a rewarding travel opportunity with a supportive team, consistent schedule, and paid travel time, we encourage you to apply today!
