Shift: Nights – 4x10s (Thursday–Sunday, 8:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
Duration: 13 Weeks

Job Duties

• Collect blood specimens from patients of all age groups, including newborns, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection following hospital and laboratory protocols.

• Process laboratory requisitions by accurately entering patient information and labeling specimens.

• Respond promptly to STAT specimen requests and prioritize urgent collections.

• Transport specimens between departments and assist with specimen processing as needed.

• Travel to nursing homes, patient homes, and satellite facilities for blood collection when required.

• Assist with glucose tolerance testing, answer department phones, and support daily laboratory operations.

• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with hospital, laboratory, and regulatory safety standards.

• Promote exceptional patient care while maintaining patient privacy, dignity, and safety.

• Float to other areas as needed and perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience

• Previous travel experience required

• Phlebotomy certification required

• Experience with Meditech and/or Mobilab required

• Pediatric blood draw experience required

• HWL Coversheet required

• Must be willing to float as needed
