Pay: $50 to $52 per hour
Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours

About the Position

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join the Inpatient Surgery team at a Level II Trauma Center. The Surgical Tech will assist surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia providers by preparing the operating room, maintaining a sterile field, and ensuring procedures run efficiently. Candidates may be required to float to the outpatient Same Day Surgery Center as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms and sterile instruments for surgical procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique throughout surgeries.
• Pass instruments and supplies to the surgical team.
• Perform instrument, sponge, and needle counts.
• Assist with patient positioning and specimen handling.
• Ensure surgical equipment is clean, sterile, and functioning properly.
• Float to the outpatient Same Day Surgery Center when needed.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent hospital experience as a Surgical Technologist or graduation from an accredited Operating Room Technician program.
• Current CPR Certification required.
• Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterile techniques.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
