About the Position

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to join our healthcare team in Colorado. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cleaning, decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, sterilizing, and maintaining surgical instruments, medical equipment, and sterile supplies to support the Operating Room and various hospital departments.

This role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of infection prevention standards, and the ability to maintain high-quality sterilization practices in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, wrap, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment.
• Prepare and package instruments according to sterilization standards.
• Operate sterilization equipment and monitor sterilization cycles.
• Maintain adequate inventory of sterile instruments and supplies.
• Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and proper assembly.
• Distribute sterile supplies to the Operating Room and hospital departments.
• Follow infection prevention, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain accurate sterilization documentation and quality control records.
• Participate in rotating weekend and holiday on-call coverage.

Requirements

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of Sterile Processing experience.
• Current CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) or CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) certification required.
• Strong knowledge of sterilization methods, decontamination procedures, and infection control practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.

Schedule

• Night Shift: 12:00 AM – 8:30 AM
• Monday through Friday
• 8-hour shifts
• Rotating weekend and holiday on-call coverage
