About the Position

Job Title: Electrophysiology Technologist Profession: EP Technologist Specialty: Electrophysiology Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 10 Hours (6 AM - 4:30 PM) Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification, COVID Vaccine Required, RCES, RCIS Must-Have: Experience in sedation and in Phase 1 recovery; ICU or PACU experience is a plus; EPIC experience preferred. Description: COVID vaccine is required. Electrophysiology procedures are performed in 3 suites. On average, there are 22 total cases between Cath Lab and Electrophysiology. The position may start with 15 cases and have as many as 15 add-on cases. Technologists must have RCIS, RT, or RCE certification. Responsibilities include circulating, assisting, and documentation (primarily done by core staff). Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience. Experience with sedation and Phase 1 recovery is essential. Knowledge of ICU or PACU settings would be beneficial. Experience in Cath Lab and Electrophysiology is necessary. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively in a team environment. Team players who assist wherever possible are preferred. Scrubbing in is not required. Training on St. Jude and Webster EP equipment will be provided. There is a cancellation policy: the facility can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment and 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks. Charting is done using an electronic medical record system. BSN degree is not required.
