About the Position

Job Title: PET Technician Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 3 years of PET experience required. License: State License (IL) required. Certifications: BLS, CNMT, ARRT or NMTCB required. Must-Have: - Experience with GE Equipment required. - Experience in adult/hospital settings required. Description: We are seeking a PET Technician for a cancer center serving adult and geriatric patients. The technician will be responsible and accountable for patient assessment related to nuclear medicine and PET procedures. Promoting radiation safety and demonstrating safe and effective patient care are essential aspects of this role. The technician will prepare radiopharmaceuticals and perform scanning procedures for both in-patients and out-patients. The position requires working under the direct supervision of a Board-Certified Radiologist. Average daily census is 15-18 across 3 rooms. A typical schedule is Monday to Friday, with Saturdays as needed. On-call duties are optional and as needed. Experience with EPIC documentation and SBAR communication is important. The technician will support providers, including pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams. Scrubs are required, with any color acceptable (no patterns or logos).
