About the Position
Job Title: Echo Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Cardiac Sonographer Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 07:00 - 17:30 Experience: 2 years required; first-time travelers accepted with strong experience License: Active license required Certifications: ARDMS RDCS AE, CCI, RDCS, BLS required Must-Have: - 2-D Echo - 3-D Echo - Adult Acute Care - Adult Outpatient - Bubble Study - Color Doppler - Emergency Department experience - ICU experience - Imaging with Contrast Agents - Isolation Precautions/PPE - LV Strain/LV Volume - M-Mode - Pharmacologic Stress Echo - Portable Studies - Right Ventricular Inflow Tract (RVIT) - Right Ventricular Outflow Tract (RVOT) - Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE) - Treadmill Stress Echo - Experience with Cardiac Surgical patients - Experience with LVAD patients Description: The Echo Tech will be responsible for performing echocardiograms. Strong experience in cardiac ultrasound is required. Candidates should be proficient in various echo procedures including 2-D and 3-D Echo. Flexibility to float within the specialty is needed. Candidates must have experience with adult and geriatric patients. Weekends and holidays may be required as scheduled. Candidates should be familiar with charting systems, preferably Epic. Documentation of services rendered is essential for patient care. Navy blue scrubs are required for the position. Successful candidates will demonstrate compliance with all infection control protocols. Additional skills in advanced echo procedures will be advantageous.
