Key Responsibilities of the Sonographer

• Perform all non-invasive imaging procedures, including echocardiograms and vascular studies
• Ensure proper billing of procedures and patient scheduling
• Coordinate and prioritize patient scheduling efficiently
• Obtain and verify necessary information for diagnostic procedures
• Document procedures diligently within patient charts
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of equipment and work areas
• Notify medical staff of any atypical imaging findings
• Calculate and measure cardiovascular structures to assist in diagnostics
• Ensure confidentiality of patient information at all times

Requirements of the Sonographer

• BLS Certification (AHA)
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) via CCI or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echocardiography (RDCS-AE) via ARDMS
• Breast sonography experience required
• Ability to perform OB sonography across all trimesters
