About the Position
Job Title: Medical Lab Technician Profession: Laboratory Specialty: Medical Lab Technician Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 8 hours (1:00 PM - 9:30 PM) Experience: Minimum 3 years preferred, travel experience required License: Louisiana license required Certifications: Must have Louisiana license or CLS Description: Mid shift position available. License must be in hand prior to submission. Candidate must be willing to work Monday to Friday with rotating weekends. No local candidates will be considered. Travel experience is mandatory. Candidates should possess experience with 24-hour urine specimens, accessioning, and analyzer use. Familiarity with blood specimen storage and handling body fluids is essential. Skills in hormone testing, immunoassay, and manual differential are required. Candidates should be knowledgeable about quality assurance and controls. Experience with rapid test kits and proper specimen preparation is needed. The position involves working with specialized equipment and performing various clinical laboratory tests. Candidates should be prepared to float within the hospital as needed. A professional reference is required for consideration. Disclose any license disciplinary actions at the time of application. Recent professional cancellations will be reviewed before approval. All candidates must complete required training prior to starting.
